Our Values

  • Compassion

Compassion for vulnerable children and young people is at the heart of our mission. We understand intimately that the lives of young people in foster care have likely been wrought with hardship and trauma. Regardless of their age and stage, their past can significantly impact their present. For that reason, we are committed to enabling boundless opportunities so that their futures can be purposeful, peaceful, and secure.

  • Courage

It is through unwavering courage that these young people in foster care feel resolve and realize the potential for a brighter future. The courage we desire from them must be modeled by us as well. Grit is a prerequisite for this work, therefore, nothing will abate A Found Future from honoring its values and creating a better future for each and every young person experiencing or leaving foster care.

  • Integrity

Doing the right thing, even when no one is looking, is the key to maintaining trust with the young people we help, the partners who assist, and the donors who make it all possible. We will honestly and transparently show our commitment to mission, the results of our interventions, and the true programmatic, operational, and administrative costs.

  • Humility

Humility is the foundation of a healthy nonprofit. Without it, self over service eventually dilutes the mission and its benefit to the public. We are servant leaders and exist to honor God, those we serve, and those who make it all possible. “Humility isn’t thinking less about yourself, it’s thinking about yourself less.” — C.S. Lewis
