The Found Futures, 2019

Greg McKay, Founder/President

Greg McKay left his position as Global Director of Microsoft’s $13 billion Government Sector business to establish the non-profit, A Found Future. Prior to joining Microsoft, Greg briefly served as the Chief Operating Officer for Childhelp USA, a national non-profit focused on the prevention, intervention, and treatment of child abuse. Before Childhelp, Greg was appointed Director of Arizona’s Department of Child Safety (AZDCS) by Governor Douglas A. Ducey. Under Greg’s leadership, the child welfare agency recovered from its position as worst ranked among 50 states to first ranked in most notable categories. Prior to leading AZDCS, Greg was appointed by Arizona Governor Janice K. Brewer to startup the first criminal investigative component within the state’s child protection system. This was enacted through a special legislative session in response to a series of high-profile deaths of children with prior system involvement. For Greg’s twenty years prior to state government leadership, he served the Phoenix Police Department’s Patrol Division, Street Gang Unit, Crimes Against Children Unit, Fugitive Apprehension Unit, and the Homicide Unit. Greg investigated, solved, and was eventually the state’s case agent in the series of child murder cases that led to Arizona’s reform efforts in child welfare. Greg and his wife, Wendi, married in 1998 and have four children: Grace, Allyson, Justin, and Rachel. They were also briefly Arizona foster parents for a young child who was the victim of brutal crimes that Greg investigated. Greg is excited to return to a worthy cause, bringing with him thirty-one years of diverse experience in public service, and both public and private sector administration and leadership.
